It was raining outside, it started with soft drizzling. The night felt so calm, yet so cold with the sounds made by the rain, falling on the balcony floor. 

Tatsuya was drinking hot tea, sitting on the bench by the balcony. After hours of writing and composing, his brain grew tired and he decided to freshen up by taking some fresh air outside.

 Ah, it’s getting heavier! He thought, as he walked out further, feeling the small drops of water splashing on his face, playing with them happily using his fingers, as if trying to catch them in his hands.

 “Tat-chan come inside, it’s getting cold out there!” a body suddenly hugged him from behind, making him yelp in surprise. 

Geez acting like a mom to me, he pouted. He definitely didn’t want more nagging come to his ears, especially from him, so like an obedient child, he walked back to the living room. As he tried to close back his sliding door, his eyes caught on something. Who is that under the rain? And what is he doing?

A week before…

“Ryo-chan you had been coming here a lot~” Jin bragged to his friends. “Do you miss me that much?? Aww~ such a sweet friend of mine!” 

“Urgh that was disgusting, Jin! Don’t you have enough with Kamenashi already? Stop being lovey dovey with me.” Ryo made a face, acting like he wanted to puke.

“Then, what are you doing here?” Jin pointed out, unconvinced with Ryo’s words.

“Well, let just say, I’m changing my view. It’s too crowded to be in Kanjani’s and it is suffocating in NewS’, considering the over flowing member ai.” Ryo explained, while looking around the dressing room. “I need a place to rest, and it seems like this is the right one.” 

“You are acting weird Ryo-chan. Whatever, you can have the couch. Kazu is not here yet.” 

Ryo lazily lay on the couch, trying to have a rest, until a certain person walked in. 

“Ohaiyo Tat-chan~” Jin chirped out happily to his band mate.

Ueda just smiled at him, and then he realized someone else was there. Someone who used to bully him long time ago. Hmph, just ignore him, Ueda thought. He glanced at him, and their gaze met. Bowing slightly, he said, “Ohaiyo Nishikido.”

 That caught Ryo beyond surprise. Stuttering, he replied, “O-haiyo Ueda.” 

Hmm...he’s so cute stuttering like that, Ueda smirked. Did he just blush? Suddenly, his phone beeped. Hastily he took out and answered. “Moshi moshi, ah, Keiji! What, you’re already here? Wait, let’s meet. Ok then, bye.” 

*Click*

“Who’s that Tat-chan?” Jin enquired, wanting to know more. 

Smiling widely he said, “Let just say, someone who is important in my life.” He replied cheekily.

 “WHAT? Tat chan~ tell me~!” Jin suddenly cornered him, pouting at his answer. 

He just kept quiet, not wanting to explain more. Then he suddenly sensed something. Why is Nishikido sending me a murderous stare? It’s like unseen daggers flying to my direction. Ouch! Ueda flinched. He suddenly stood up and walked angrily to the door. *BAM!* he banged the door closed. 

Both of them looked to each other. “What the hell just happened?” Ueda asked.

“How could I know, he’s always like that.” Jin shrugged, he was already used to Ryo’s uncertain moods. 

Koki and Junno walked in from having their breakfast together. “Why was Nishikido here? He bumped into me while walking out. Damn, he didn’t even apologize.” Koki grumbled as he sat next to Ueda. 

Ueda just shook his head at him. Weird Nishikido...
 

 ~**~**~**~**~**~

3 days before…

“Keiji, I had been waiting for your call for days! Where had you been?” Ueda asked eagerly, wanting to know more. He was worried for the other. “You promised to call me again!”

 “Aww come on Tat-chan, I’m not a kid anymore. Today I am eating with you.” The other merely replied, trying to cool down the angry man. 

“Promise me to come and stay at my place while you are in town. Your parents thought you are staying at my place. How am I going to answer them?” he persuaded more. 

“Stop being clingy~ mou Tat-chan, okay I’ll stay at your place.” He sighed, giving in to Ueda’s request. He was about to say more when he saw someone who caught staring at them menacingly. Smirking to him, he turned to Ueda. “Tat-chan?” 

“Hm?”

 *chuu~* “I miss you.” Keiji said, kissing his cheek, making Ueda blush. He was about to reply him, when he felt an intense gaze on him. His eyes landed on that person, Nishikido Ryo. Feeling uncomfortable, he gave Keiji an excuse of needing to get back to Jimusho. Smiling, Keiji just agreed and walked together, hugging him by his waist. Ueda, thinking it would be nice to at least say hi to his arch enemy, walked passed by him and awkwardly smiled. “Hi, having your lunch here? Waiting for Jin?”

 Ryo just stared back at him with cold eyes. “Why do you even care?” he voiced out, with venom in his words. 

Lucky for him, Yamapi arrived just in time.

 Both Keiji and Ueda just walked out, but for Ueda, those words made him even more confused. What did I do wrong? I was just trying to be nice…

Today…

It was still raining outside, like not wanting to stop. This time, Ueda was inside, quietly watching the person who was sleeping soundly on his bed. Few minutes before, by chance Ueda saw him fall in the rain by the lamp post across the street. Seeing that familiar face, he rushed out to confirmed what he had just seen. And it’s proven that he was not imagining things.

“Hmn...” the man moved in his sleep. Slowly, Ueda walked to his side and sat next to him on the bed. He was frowning in his sleep, as if worrying about something. Sighing, he took a piece of towel and wiped the sweats on his forehead. Stop thinking too much...

 The said man suddenly opened his eyes, and when he saw him, straight away he slapped his hands off. “What the hell are you doing?!” he muttered angrily as he was about to sit.

“Hey, don’t move around too much. You just fell down in the rain just now. Are you okay? Feeling any pain anywhere?” Ueda spoke gently, trying to cool him down.

He stared at him back, with disgust. “Why do you even care!”

“Those words again...stop saying it.” Ueda huffed, feeling slightly annoyed. What’s wrong with him? Suddenly getting angry at me. Clearing his throat, he asked, “So why are you down there? Waiting for someone? Or were you stalking me?” He went quiet for awhile. Looking at his reaction he knew that he got the answer. “Why? Answer me, I won’t know if you don’t tell me.” He pressed on.

“I wanted to see you. But you’ve got a boyfriend now, and I couldn’t stop thinking of you. Everything that I do reminds me of you. When I know that you already have a boyfriend, yet my heart feels so painful, like someone stabs me. ” He said it out. “And it’s been days that I couldn’t sleep. Today, I thought, at least let me see your face before I go to sleep. So that’s why I was there, hoping I can see you, and later have a good night’s sleep.”

“You know Nishikido, it’s easy. All you have to do is ring the bell, and you can see me. Don’t be stupid and stand there under the rain!” Ueda playfully smacked his head, laughing at him.

“B-but don’t you understand? Whenever I see you I want to all sorts of things! I want to hug you tightly, kiss you until you are breathless and...” he stopped abruptly, suddenly feeling shy.

“And?”

“And I want to steal you from your boyfriend and keep you away from him!”

Smiling, Ueda could only do one thing to reply. He kissed him chastely on his lips as his answer. “I understand what you are trying to say. Now, do you understand my answer? And Keiji is not my boyfriend, he is my cousin.” he spoke out, feeling satisfied with his action. “Now come on, let’s sleep. We have work tomorrow.” Ueda nudged him a bit and lay next to him.

“Ne, let’s go to work together tomorrow!” Ryo voiced out, feeling happy with the sudden result.

Yawning, Ueda just said “Yeah.”

“And let’s walk hand in hand.” Ryo added.

“Okay.”

“And I’ll kiss you in front of everyone, so that they’ll know that you are mine!” Ryo said some more, suddenly feeling over excited about his new relationship.

“NO, if you do it you are DEAD. Now sleep, and stop talking.” Ueda said sternly, and later that night, both of them dozed off, being happy with the newly found love.
